Make SGwchar and SGdchar char16_t and char32_t where available.

Currently, SGwchar is defined in terms of uint16_t and SGdchar is defined in terms of uint32_t.

This could be a problem on some compilers which support C1x and thus have char16_t and char32_t types – strings like u16″hello, world!” would not be implicitly convertible to char16_t.

This is mostly a note to myself so that I don’t forget to look into this and make SGwchar and SGdchar defined in terms of char16_t and char32_t where available.

It seems that there is no way to check for the presence of char16_t and/or char32_t yet – therefore, this ticket will have to wait.

    1. Status changed from New to Aborted
  3. Update “Make SGwchar and SGdchar char16_t and char32_t where available.”
